Terms of Use
These are practical starter terms for OpenHome. They are not legal advice. Final wording should be reviewed before public marketing launch.
Using OpenHome
By using OpenHome, you agree to provide accurate information and to use the service lawfully and respectfully.
Listings and products
- Listings and shop products must be lawful, truthful, and approved before they are shown publicly where approval is required.
- OpenHome may review, reject, edit, or remove listings, products, or related content to protect users and operate the marketplace.
Seller authority
Anyone submitting a property listing must confirm they are the legal owner, a co-owner, a licensed/authorised agent, or otherwise have written authority from the legal owner/s to advertise the property. Submitting a listing does not guarantee publication. OpenHome may request evidence of ownership or written authority, and may reject, pause, or remove a listing if authority cannot be verified.
Reporting and removal
If you believe a listing is unauthorised, misleading, copied, or privacy-sensitive, use Report this listing on the listing page or contact OpenHome. We may remove or pause listings while reviewing reports.
Not professional advice
OpenHome is a property marketplace and related tools. It is not a replacement for legal, real estate, financial, valuation, AML, or other professional advice. Always seek independent advice where needed.
Listing information is provided by sellers, agents, or other contributors. OpenHome does not guarantee that every detail is complete or current, and does not claim that every listing is legally ownership-verified.
Payments and property funds
OpenHome does not hold deposits, buyer purchase funds, trust money, or settlement money for property transactions, and does not act as a transaction intermediary for property sales. Listing fees or shop payments (when live) stay separate from property purchase funds.
Shop payments and refunds are not live for public commerce yet. Stripe remains in test mode until live payments are explicitly approved. Do not treat test checkout as a real purchase.
Accounts and conduct
You are responsible for activity under your account. Do not misuse the service, attempt unauthorised access, or submit harmful or misleading content.
